Occam's Razor

Keep It Simple.. Stupid (K.I.S.S.)

“The simplest solution.” In our personal and professional lives, we all have a tendency to over-analyze and complicate situations. Sometimes, the best answer is the simplest one.

Occam's razor states that the best solution is the simplest.

Occam's razor is a principle attributed to 14th century philosopher William of Occam who believed that, when faced with more than one course of action to solve a problem, the best solution is the one that is simplest to understand. It is because of this that Occam's razor is also referred to as the “Law of Simplicity” and “Principle of Parsimony.”

This page has been constructed utilizing the message of this phenomenon. Click on either image for more information and an example of Occam's razor.

We could give you more examples, but then we would be violating this basic principle being taught.
