Are you a victim of the “crab in the bucket syndrome?” If you put a bunch of crabs in a bucket, the more determined ones try to escape. As they climb the walls, other crabs grab on to them, pulling them back down into the bucket – creating a perpetual no-win situation.

Whether for reasons of envy, jealousy or frustration, these unsophisticated crabs don’t realize they would have far greater success if they helped each other. Some crabs at the bottom pushing, some crabs at the top pulling – and they could all escape!

Do you know any “crabby” people?

Ignore them. Surround yourself with positive people who have goals and want to climb out of the bucket too. That way you can all enjoy successful living together.
