It is important to trust and act upon your instincts. Opportunities in life abound but are often fleeting and need to be acted upon immediately.
If you are in the habit of over-analyzing; waiting for all of the details to fall into place—you will probably always be three steps behind those who are willing to take calculated risks. There are no guarantees in life. We must weigh the information that is currently available to us and make the best decision possible at that time. As new information becomes available, we can then make necessary adjustments.
If you want to go someplace in your car, you don’t sit in the garage waiting for all the traffic lights to turn green. You get out onto the road, and trust your ability to navigate through the detours, stop signs, and traffic as you move toward your destination. Use that same confident attitude to make your business and investment decisions as you become more knowledgeable and skillful—you’ll never get where you want to go if you don’t begin the journey.
A paradox: Be patient looking for the right opportunity, but move swiftly when you find it.
