Image: The magic of seeing the future

“There are none so blind as those who will not see.”

Imagination rules the world. Where would we be without visionaries like Walt Disney, Steven Spielberg, Albert Einstein and so many other progressive thinkers?

We need to stand on the shoulders of the giants who have already gone before us. This allows us to glimpse a little further down the road, without having to start from the beginning and reinvent the wheel.

Being a visionary of course, is only one element of the equation. To bring our ideas into reality is the practical outcome of our efforts. Ideas, as well as hard work, are merely tools to express our unique contributions.

For most of us, a critical shift in our thinking is required—we must want to become leaders, rather than followers. Nothing significant can be accomplished or contributed by us if we are content to continually tread where others have gone. We need to offer our own creative insights and energies to the process to help make an impact on our world.

In his book The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles describes the importance of having Vision:

“And the riches you receive will be in exact proportion to the definiteness of your VISION, the firmness of your PURPOSE, the steadiness of your FAITH, and the depth of your GRATITUDE.”

The amazing power contained in that one simple sentence will change your life once you fully grasp its true meaning.

What’s your vision of your future?
