What is the one thing you would do if you knew you could not fail?

That power question has been posed by some of the greatest thinkers of our time.

They are still waiting for our answer…

Goals and plans and dreams and strategic thinking are the basis for our compass.

The reality is that our actions speak louder than words.

One of my concerns is apathy. I sense that the “entertainment pendulum” has swung so far, that rather than being an “escape”, a diversion, it has become the dominant player in our lives.

Virtual worlds, social networks online, reality TV shows are the norm these days, and personal relationships with the people in our neighborhoods and families are a thing of the past.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy movies, and often try to see what meaning I can find and apply to my life.

Pretty Woman is a good example, having seen it umpteen times.

Vivian: People put you down enough, you start to believe it.
Edward Lewis: I think you are a very bright, very special woman.
Vivian: The bad stuff is easier to believe. You ever notice that?

Yes, Ma’am, I have.

Our belief is that we need to do the best we can with what we’ve got.

In the depths of winter, it’s easy to cocoon and stay introverted. It’s a time when many of us are Missing in Action. It’s can also be a time that galvanizes our resources so that we are implementing our plan that will emerge like the crocus, an unexpected burst of beauty as a hint of better days to come.

Do you remember the scene in Pretty Woman where Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) and James Morse (Ralph Bellamy) announce their intention to build “great big ships?”

Barack Obama: “To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society’s ills on the West – know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy.”

America has lost her way. Look at the tag inside your shirt collar, it’s the best lesson in world geography these days. Made in America, it seems, is a long lost art.

Unless, of course, we are talking about America’s debt; there is no end to our ability to create that, evidently.

If “Yes we can” is to become a reality, we all need to be about building something, not asking for handouts.

Technology is a huge asset for entrepreneurs to build on line businesses. It has never been easier or more affordable to use the tools available and combine them according to our own unique vision.

Use today’s online resources to make a difference in the real world. Businesses that run on auto-pilot with minimal effort on our part allow us to spend more of our time in ways of our choosing, whether socializing at the golf course or volunteering at a community shelter.

WizardZofwealth extends a welcome to all to help build something of value; let us know how we can help each other.
