Are you happy? Do you enjoy life? Or are you always worried, thinking about the things that may go wrong?
Your level of happiness is a choice, not a predetermined fact. People are about as happy as they make up their mind to be.
No one can expect to be happy all of the time. Things happen in life that require us to have the maturity to experience grief and to empathize with others who are in emotional despair.
But we are referring to your normal state of mind. Do you have an optimistic viewpoint—a positive expectancy that you are able to look at life as having the glass half full rather than being half-empty?
This positive mental framework of thinking helps make it easier to react appropriately for ourselves and towards others.

Developing a sense of humor allows us to brush aside typical slights and negative feedback while moving on to our next experience with our self-esteem intact.
We really do have the opportunity to determine how happy we are. We just need to take the care and effort to change our mindsets and allow ourselves to be happy.
