He’s my Idol
Simon Cowell is rude, arrogant, and obnoxious.
He is also very rich.
I couldn’t stand to watch American Idol, because of his contemptuous attitude towards many contestants. That changed for me one day when I saw him in a documentary.
The TV show was profiling his annual take of 38 million in Great Britain, in addition to 30 million or so for the US. He calmly described his business plan: Sell records, as he has contracts with all the players for his royalties if they make it.
Can you say Heads I win, Tails I win? Makes him a Doer in my book.
I decided I could overlook his annoying showmanship that personifies his entertainment style and learn something from him.
Napoleon Hill has taught us “if you can dream it, you can do it.”
The real question, of course, is will we?
