Are you paying attention to the clues?

The days are getting shorter. The angle of the sun has changed; afternoons are warm and pleasant, but nighttime temperatures are starting to trend lower.

It is unmistakable if we stay vigilant for the subtle, but noticeable, changes. Just as the birds know when it is time to fly south for the winter, our intuition may be a good barometer for determining these almost imperceptible shifts.

Summer is transitioning to autumn. The long lazy strolls on the beach, the outdoor picnics, and the baseball games are memories that are giving way to country fairs, jack-o-lanterns, and the fall harvest.

Although History tends to repeat itself, we know that it is only a “guide.”

The business cycle, and typical investments like real estate, stocks, bonds, and commodities, have their own “day in the sun.” They also have transition times related to their respective growth cycles.

If we wish to be wealthy, we need to stay in harmony with the current and upcoming economic climate. Then we can position our investments accordingly in anticipation of the coming changes, as “seasoned” investors are likely to do.

The report from the local weatherman is helpful, but it is more important that we learn to assess the climate ourselves.
